XGR.com has conducted an interview with Andrey Emelyanenko of Nival Interactive as he talks about their upcoming turn based RPG Etherlords. Here's an excerpt:
XGR:Why the decision to go turn-based? Can you do real-time?
Andrey:We have actually done real-time for four years, first with Rage of Mages I and II, and then with Evil Islands. This time we chose TBS for several reasons. First, it was breaking new ground for us: we've attempted to blend a RPG with a real-time strategy but we haven't tried a genre experiment with a TBS before. Besides, it's been quite some time since something really innovative in this genre came to the market. Another reason is that TBS gives enough time for thinking and devising a smart tactical solution. With Etherlords we are trying to create a strategy with unusual profundity of tactical gameplay, and TBS best suits this purpose. [more]

Very good and addictive game mixed tactics action and not at least strategy, give it a try. Good to have some time to think your next move and pick your ultimate ether warrior. I´ll give it 9 of 10.
