Unreal Engine 3 improves on the vehicle physics features of Unreal Tournament 2004, shown here.

Epic has launched the official Unreal Technology website, with general Unreal Engine feature listings, as well as several new high-resolution images of Epic's upcoming 64-bit Unreal Engine 3.0. The images show off new UE3 features such as dynamic soft shadows, self-shadowing, volumetric fog, normal mapping and a ton of other amazing features. Check it out!

Unreal Engine 3 is a complete game development framework for next-generation consoles and DirectX9-equipped PC's, providing the vast array of core technologies, content creation tools, and support infrastructure required by top game developers.

Every aspect of the Unreal Engine has been designed with ease of content creation and programming in mind, with the goal of putting as much power as possible in the hands of artists to develop assets in a visual environment with minimal programmer assistance; and to give programmers a highly modular and extensible framework for building, testing, and shipping games in a wide range of genres. rofl @ fangirl. No ps3.0 stuff has been incorporated into UE3 so anyhting being done on there is being shown with the ATi cards since they are they fastest 2.0 cards.
