HomeLAN
has conducted
an interview
with Tesseraction Games' Kelly Asay and Blake Hutchins as they talk about their upcoming massively multiplayer combat game
Enigma: Rising Tide
. They also posted four new screenshots from the game. Here is a snip:
HomeLAN:
The press release announcing Engima stated that the player will take control of the game's story and war. Can you be more specific as to how this will happen?
Blake Hutchins:
As a player rises in rank, he (or she) will have more influence on the overall strategy, as he’ll be able to make decisions about mission types and objectives, where resources are sent, and the like. Eventually, players who run the ports and select the targets for other players will steer how the war unfolds. Look, say I rise to the rank of Admiral. Say I’m running Imperial London for the German Empire. I get to have the final say on how London’s resources are used, and I select the available missions for the London taskforces, possibly for taskforces from nearby allied ports as well. I’ll have a huge amount of pull in that combat theater. It’s possible that I could even rise in rank until I’m setting the gross overall objectives for the entire German Empire. That’s controlling the war.
