pc.ign.com has posted an interview with Sierra's Jon Payne and Steve Beinner, as they talk about Empire Earth: The Art of Conquest, just announced 3D RTS expansion by Mad Doc Software. Here is a taster:
IGN: And you've added a whole new epoch, the Space Age. How does it fit in?
Jon Payne: It seemed a natural extension of the Nano Age. It's probably something that players were asking for and looking for. We too thought it was cool and it seemed like a natural step.
Steve Beinner: That's exactly it. We talked about the rationale behind the content. We took feedback from the community and the distributors. Asia is a big market. This title's not only doing well in the States but it's also well received globally. The Asian markets particularly wanted to see it go to the next level. We thought it makes a logical transition -- you amass an empire and then take it to the next level. Now there are new challenges thrown at you -- interplanetary combat, new units, new calamities as you take it to that level. [more]
