We are still monitoring the forums and are working to gather your comments for issues that we will want to resolve. As many have already learned we are hard at work on the tools for EF2 mappers and the mod community. We are also working on a Linux server solution.

What you didn't know till now though is that we have a solution we are going to start testing later today for a Beta Server Fix that should resolve the CD being required in the CD-ROM drive for dedicated servers.

We are going to be releasing it as a beta fix. Since these servers will be public you will be able to join them if you like to help us with the testing process. Our hope is to role out the beta fix to some of the fan sites around the middle of the week after we've had a couple days of extensive testing on them internally.

Feel free to respond to this post regarding hosting this Server Fix when it is released in Beta form. This fix in the end will be merged into a later release that is officially launched, but for now we just want to make sure the community has what they need to get this issue resolved as quickly as possible.

We'll be setting up some servers in the next hour or so that are running the modified files. I'll label the servers:
