Aptly named Seamless Co-op, the mod removes many co-op barriers present in the original game such as Erdleaf Flower farming, resummoning after death, not being able to use Torrent, multiplayer-disabled zones, and even being kicked after boss kills. The co-op player count has also been increased to four players. To combat the game becoming a cakewalk thanks to the upped player count, the modder has also implemented features and balance changes of his own. This involves an even harder enemy scaling tier, a debuff for players who do not rest at Grace sites after revives, and others. To those worried about the mod interfering with the base game and its online systems, per the modder, Seamless Co-op does not use FromSoftware's servers and Easy Anti-Cheat is also disabled. Instead, the mod uses Steam matchmaking to connect interested parties together with a password system. Its save files are incompatible with the original game's as well, making for a gameplay experience that is completely isolated from FromSoftware's servers. This also means that anyone wanting to revisit the official Lands Between for jolly cooperation (and perhaps some invasions) can do so easily without fiddling with files again.

I've been testing this mod the past couple of days, and whilst it is amazing (definitely how co-op should have been implemented right from the START), I would personally recommend waiting a couple of weeks until some of the major progress-sync bugs are worked out. Some of the bugs are bad enough that it can permanently fu%$ game progression for that character.

The good news is that the mod uses a separate save file, so your single player save will not be affected.

It also works with Mod Manager 2.

Luke is a great guy, I've been following his modding efforts since DSIII/Blue Sentinel et al.

To think, FROM have already released 6 Soulsborne titles but they have yet to fully realise the multiplayer potential of their own games. Locking PvP to only have 4 players present at any given time is a downgrade from DSIII, and the Covenant system has always suffered a half-baked implementation, but sadly Covenants are completely absent from ELDEN RING.
