We've got Silent Hill 3 for the PS2. I play it with my lady sitting really close so she won't get too scared (she says the same thing about me, heh heh). As you would guess the design rocks--these Japanese guys just have no equal in horror gaming. The settings, the images, and especially the sound are brilliant (although the monsters, being less human than the nurses from SH2, aren't as creepy). But my main grip is that unlike the near-perfect SH2, the story is really slow to develop. It's just not as compelling without a good sense of your character right from the start. If you are curious about discovering the franchise, get SH2 first--it's got more to recommend it.
