EA Closes 'EA Link Service', Unveils 'EA Store' - briefly

Gamasutra is reporting that Electronic Arts' EA Link digital content shop has been shut down, with a new EA Store put in its place. Additionally, a new EA Download Manager application is now a required install to purchase and manage downloads of games. What's really interesting is the new requirement that games downloaded through the EA store can be re-downloaded for free for six months. However under EA's terms and conditions, people will have to spend an additional $6 if they want to re-download the game for up to two years.

I did know EA was the spawn of Satan but this is taking the piss, could you imagine what it would be like if Valve tried to pull this crap with Steam games.

I didn’t really condone piracy in the past but screw it, I don’t intend to pay for anything connected to EA again.
