- Post a comment EA has announced on Twitter that it has “drastically reduced the cost of hero unlocks†in Star Wars Battlefront II in response to fan feedback from the game regarding the rate at which players needed to accrue in-game currency to unlock new playable Hero characters in multiplayer, which some players estimated could take upwards of tens of hours to unlock some of the higher-valued Hero characters. In a detailed statement on the game’s official website, EA explained that this adjustment will be available today and will reduce the amount of credit needed to unlock “top heroes†by 75%. Specifically, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader will now cost 15,000 credits; Emperor Palpatine, Chewbacca, and Leia Organa will cost 10,000 credits, and Iden Versio will cost 5,000 credits, which EA stated will “make earning these heroes an achievement, but one that will be accessible for all players.†Earlier in the post, EA explained that “there’s been a lot of discussion around the amount of in-game credits (and time) it takes to unlock some of our heroes, especially Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader,†and added that “we used data from the beta to help set those levels, but it’s clear that more changes were needed.†|
