The PC version was first supposed to be out in September 2009, well before Battlefield Bad Company 2's release, because the developer wanted to put in additional features to the PC port. Then the developer announced the game was being pushed back to the first quarter of 2010. Again the excuse given was that the developer wanted to put in more features such as 32 player multiplayer support. Since that announcement DICE has been completely quiet about the status of the PC port with posts on the game's official message boards asking for updates going unheeded by the developer. Big Download contacted' EA's PR contact for the game today to get an update. However the PR rep would only tell us that news about the PC port of Battlefield 1943 would be coming "shortly". However, with the end of of the first quarter of 2010 coming shortly EA will have to hustle to make that current deadline for the release of the game.
