EA Announces Origin Access, $4.99 Monthly - briefly

ack in 2014, EA offered up a novel solution for gamers that want to play new games, but don't want shell out the cash for every one of them. The solution was EA Access, and was a subscription service that allowed you access to every game in The Vault for one low monthly fee. The only real downside to the service is that it has only been available to Xbox One owners. Today, the company announced Origin Access, their solution for PC gamers. Much like their EA Access program, you'll be able to pay a set fee to have access to any games in The Vault. Unfortunately, The Vault that PC gamers have access to will only launch with 15 titles.

EA has confirmed that they will be adding more games to The Vault over time, much the same way they've done for Xbox One subscribers. In addition to having access to Vault games, you will have early access to some new games, as well as a 10% discount on the purchase of full games. Just like with the Xbox One offering, the subscription will be $4.99 per month.

wouldn't go that far, but no way I'd do this. Guess it will boil down to the sucker count. Ain't it funny how MOH isn't on that list though. :lol:

If you buy one game from them a month, then you're saving money with the 10% price reduction.
Also I noticed somewhere that you get a 10 hour demo of all their games.

I'm not getting it because fucking EA, but there are value in the offering.

10% off a $60 game is $6, so in light of that this might not be a horrible deal. The 15 titles are not enough of course but it clearly says it's only the initial batch and that new ones will get added. Anyone who hasn't played all the Dragon Age games could easily fill months just by going through those, too.

You guys showing support for this, haha, wow. $6 off a $60 is a deal? Love how you trim it down to $60 too. Haha! Because we all live in the USA. 10 hour demos? Haha! I'd rather download a torrent and check it out myself for FREE. Like I said eh? SUCKER COUNT. We got a few here.
