Electronic Arts has just announced
that it has acquired
Mythic Entertainment
, the MMORPG developer known for
Dark Age of Camelot
and the upcoming
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning
. The company will become EA Mythic (dedicated to developing MMORPGs) upon completion of the acquisition, which is expected to happen during the second quarter of fiscal 2007. News of the acquisition comes over a month after the company reported a fourth-quarter net loss and issued guidance below Wall Street expectations. No word yet on how this will affect the games.

I'll tell you how exactly how it will affect the games: They will suck. EA is corporate and their games reflect that.....

had almost the same thought. mine went more like "the games will be released too early and every patch will bring bigger bugs."

I loved Fifa 2000 lot more than I loved Road to the world cup 98. Now FIFA games suck :(
I wish EA gave Konami some money so they can hire the commentators... so they can use the actual player names... so they can give us not only a game that is far superior than the last 4 fifa games, but also looks more authentic.
Winning Eleven FTW!
Yes... EA is corporate... but it makes money. It’s out to make money. Don't blame EA for being greedy. You'd be greedy too if you worked for a company that has to 'satisfy' a new generation of gamers every several years.
EA had a good run back in 95-01. Now we all grew up and EA moved on. Or moved back. EA can't support us now. We're adults, we shouldn't play games... our kids should play them. And our kids only want one thing... graphics.
EA is doing what it must to survive.
Can’t blame a company for trying to feed its employees.
