Right now, Kreed looks like it could be a cool action experience. But there are a few things I'm just not entirely sure about. For one, I don't know how the levels will progress. I don't know how interactive the world will be (System Shock 2-like hacking and computer use), and I don't know how exactly the characters will develop, but that's all a matter of taking another look a few months down the road. My only real problems at present come with the amazingly difficult human opponents, the strange way all locked doors resemble all unlocked doors (there are hundreds of them), and how it seems the pacing could still use some tuning. If they populate the environments with a more steady stream of intensely scary encounters and tone down the wandering for the sake of finding an open door, Kreed could be another solid action title to toss down the pipe, but like I've been mentioning with every first-person shooter story I've written of late, 2003 is a very tough year to make your move in.
