Much of Huxley's gameplay takes place on a massive battlefield where players will face their opponents in first-person perspective from behind the barrel of a gun. The major difference between this and standard-issue first-person shooters, though, is just how many other players they'll be going up against. According to Webzen, at least hundreds of players will be facing off in dozens of simultaneous battles and Huxley's technology is designed to scale up to accommodate thousands or hundreds of thousands of players. Merely battling against each other in PvP wouldn't be much of an MMO, though, so Webzen is building an RPG-like structure around the game. The Sapients and Alternatives each have an enormous capital city where same faction players can interact with one another, buy and sell objects, hook up with teammates, and select one of the many available quests to go on. Quests in the game will take the form of battlefields with a variety of objective familiar to any regular FPS multiplayer gamer including capture-the-flag, team deathmatches, fortress assaults and more.
