The game's large levels provide multiple non-linear paths to each waypoint, which enables the testing of alternate strategies and lots of replayability. Strategy variations are also created by the ability to switch between squad members and vehicles on the fly, depending on the configuration of the mission. If you're being attacked by distant fire, you can switch from your heavy gunner to a sniper to take out the threat long distance. In other missions, you can take control of a plane or a tank to clear the enemies at more of a distance. There are also opportunities in mid-mission to jump into a turret or other stationary weapon and take advantage of their capabilities. Whichever character you're using or vehicle you're in, the AI takes over for your other troops, so they're not idle in the midst of the battlefield -- you're not an "army of one" in this shooter.
