The other biggest addition that hadn't been shown before were the tributes. This is the new reward feature for playing the game in interesting ways. Tribute points will be granted to players for completing missions, creative use of the creature, exploration, and more. The points can then be used to purchase things from the tribute menu including new types of weapons for your army, city features, buildings, creature enhancements, books, spells, and so on. This, as you might imagine, makes balance tricky since players will be able to bring all of their pieces of tribute to multiplayer battles. This is just one of the reasons why Black & White 2 has been taking so long to finish. However, there is good news from that front. Peter told us today that they have now set a Fall release date so we can expect to see the game before much longer. It's even far enough along that they've begun working on an expansion along with some downloads for players when they pick the game up.
