- Post a comment Stomped chats with ARUSH Entertainment head man Jim Perkins as he gives some details on Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project, the upcoming "episodic" third person Duke PC game.
Stomped: What engine are you using for Manhattan Project?
Perkins: Sunstorm Interactive is using the Prism3D engine with internal modifications. This engine has features like curved surfaces with run-time tessellation, a complete portal system allowing for 3D skybox environments, reflective surfaces, mirrors, moving warp hole portals, dynamic colored light support, both for moving lights and stationary sources which can be turned on/off, flicker, change intensity and have animated light maps.
Stomped: When do you anticipate releasing the first episode and how much will each episode cost?
Perkins: We will be distributing the first episode online at www.arushgames.com for free, as well as through other Web partners. We are also exploring retail distribution of the first episode. It should be available, along with a few more episodes, this fall. The additional episodes of the game will be available for download for about $5 each. [more] |
