Funcom has released a playable demo/trial for Dreamfall: the Longest Journey, allowing you to try out their 3D adventure sequel. Details on the contents of this demo are not available so your adventuring mileage may vary. Mirrors: 3DGamers, GameSpot, GH and Internode Games Network.

The demo tops out at a staggering 3.5GB, which can be problematic for many browser that choke on files larger than 2 GB. Also, this is not a demo in the traditional sense. It is the full game wrapped up in copy-protection. You can purchase a code to unlock the full game, but the activation is strictly tied to your PC's hardware. So if you change hardware or PC's more than five times, you have to buy the game again to activate it.
