An English-language demo for Drakensang: The Dark Eye has been released, offering up a bit of RPG-styled action from the game that's been out in Germany for a little while. This demo features the entire first level and most of the weapons and armor from the retail version. Some modifications were also made to include a few features which would normally only be found later in the game.  The 501MB download can be found on Atomic Gamer, GGO.ro and GH.
- A special ability which isn't available in the full game until location 5-6
- A special weapon -- one that would not otherwise be available at such a low level
- A special magic cast ability that also doesn't appear until much later in the full game.
