First the basics: There is one crafting skill in DE and everyone has it. Your skill level is based on crafting quests that you have undertaken in your travels rather than on how many widgets you have created and discarded. As you go up in skill level you can create more complex items using the workshop, storage containers, and aurachromes.

Aurachromes are automated crafting machines that are described in this early EE article. Storage containers are boxes that hold the resources and finished items that you use. Workshops are located in every city and town in Fortitude and are available for players to use in the crafting process. Your aurachromes are housed in a workshop in the town of your choice. Each player can have storage containers set up in any town but can only have aurachromes set up in one town at a time.

Let me say a word about storage containers first. Every player in Dragon Empires can own and use storage containers. The containers are the key to creating and building your very own crafting empire! Containers can be set up in any town and instructed to buy or sell items from the marketplace or they can be used just to hold items for you in a given town. You may also attach these containers to your aurachrome to act as input and/or output hoppers. The higher your crafting skill, the more storage containers you control and the more things you can buy, sell, and make. Ok that's the basics… let's do a real example to see how it works!
