The Q&A session had actors Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Karl Urban, producer John Wells and Lorenzo DiBonaventure and id Software CEO Todd Hollenshead, who mentioned that the entire id Software team got to see the teaser trailer in their offices a few days ago and when it was over it was met with applause from the cast. Everyone on the panel said that every effort was being made to make the movie faithful to the game and that it will be a R rated film. While there will be some CGI, the Doom monsters like the Baron, the Imp and the Pinky Demon will mostly be real monsters created by the Stan Winston Studios (who created the creatures in all the Terminator movies, Aliens, Predator and many more). Both The Rock and Karl Urban were fans of the original Doom game before signing on to play the roles of space marines Sarge and John, respectively. The Rock said he got to use the classic weapons like the BFG in the movie and he, Urban and the other members of the space marine cast got real military training from a former SAS member to make sure that they worked together like a real special forces team would. All of the panel members mentions that they were displeased that other movie adaptations of games stayed so far from the original material and while the Doom movie does had plot and character elements that the game does not have it still will be very close to how the game looks and plays. The Rock said that he saw a version of the movie a few days ago and in his words "It really kicks ass".
