As promised, ARUSH Entertainment today released a multiplayer demo version of Devastation (177MB), Digitalo's now-gold Unreal-engine shooter.  "The demo lets gamers play Devastation's 'Streetwar' (just like Deathmatch) and Capture the Flag game types over a LAN or online. It features two amazingly detailed environments, the Embarcadero Depot, and the abandoned Union Rail Yard. The maps are stocked with amazing weapons, including the powerful P*Laser and the remote-controlled Rat Drone. Check out the physics in Devastation. They can be enabled at the server level, giving players the ability to pick up and throw objects at opponents. Also at the server level is the ability to set up Arcade or Simulation type gameplay, giving players more choice and appealing to fans of both styles of play." Update:This small patch (Worthplaying, FileShack,3DGamers,FragLand) fixes some frame rate and connection issues in the demo. A full patch will be released sometime in the coming weeks. It will fix many of the other problems that have been reported on the DevastationGame.com Forums like server browser issues, miscellaneous gameplay issues, physics, and even audio problems.
