After a few more encounters, I find the exit to the building. Right before I walk out I get a message from the leader of the attackers. It's just a misunderstanding, she says, and I should come visit their headquarters. Yeah, maybe. Walking out into the street, I wince a bit at the framerate hit and also from the realization that the next move is mine. I can follow my superior's recommendation and check in with the WTO, or go say hello to those folks who were just trying to kill me. Each course will have radically different ramifications and consequences, resulting in completely different experiences. Raised on twenty years of mostly linear gameplay, it's actually a little intimidating to be faced with such a choice. At the same time, I can't wait to go back into the game and see what twist my story takes next.
