 cdmag.com has written a new preview of Desperados, Spellbound's upcoming upcoming squad-based tactical action game. Spellbound claims that Desperados is also an adventure game—not in the traditional sense where you solve puzzles in a relatively non-violent game—but rather in the emphasis on plot and the implications of the word adventure itself. Desperados is chock full of content that carries a distinct whiff of horsehide and worn saddles, right down to the characters. Normally, cliche is a "Bad Thing," but the developers would disagree in this case. They are even touting these as "stereotypical western characters," allowing no misconceptions about their intent.
