CanadiaGamer: The first title to be published by DreamCatcher Interactive is going to be a gold version of Battlecruiser Millennium. Tell us about the contents of this gold version, especially the fully featured multiplayer add-on. Also, the press release mentions a mail-in-rebate for owners of BCM; does this mean that the gold release's content won't be available as a free download? Derek Smart: The idea for doing a Gold release of this product was actually a proposal offered to me by another party I was negotiating with. Their idea was that I had to do the Gold title in order to appease the retailers and alleviate the problems of the EB exclusive. So, I ran with it and started working toward this end. Of course, that deal never got signed (since I did the DreamCatcher deal instead) but I already had work committed to it. So as time went on, I stuck with it. Apart from giving the retailers an even playing field, it also allows the product to be released worldwide and to gamers who couldn't otherwise get it the first time around. This product is basically the full BCM game, complete with all patches, lots of feature enhancements already contained in those patches, a few unique features and of course the eagerly awaited multiplayer feature. The unique features will not be available for download, hence the $10 rebate to existing BCM owners.
