1UP reports that Chris Taylor's Gas Powered Games (Dungeon Siege, Supreme Commander and the upcoming Space Siege) are working on Demigod, an upcoming fantasy action/RPG/RTS hybrid which is inspired in part by a popular mod for Blizzard's RTS game called Defense of the Ancients. For those who've never tried DotA, it concentrates on two teams trying to destroy each others' bases; though rather than managing all the units or gathering resources as in a regular RTS, players each control a single Hero unit with different powers, leveling up by killing A.I. enemies around the map. More info on Demigod is scheduled to be revealed in the February 2008 dated issue of Games For Windows magazine. No publisher or release date for Demigod was announced.
