As promised, Introversion Software has released an updated demo (local US mirror ~ 19MB) for Darwinia, allowing you to try out their retro virtual-reality 3D action strategy game which combines "fast-paced action with strategic battle planning". The demo features an entirely new scenario not included in the full game, as well as the new icon-based control mechanism and a full tutorial which should make the game a little easier to get into for new players.
