Darkspore officially delayed to April 26 - briefly

Electronic Arts has delayed the release of Darkspore a month, the publisher announced. The game will now release on April 26 in North America and April 28 in Europe and Asia Pacific territories: Thanks to everyone who has participated in the Darkspore beta! Weâ€™ve received really positive feedback about the game, as well as some suggestions of things youâ€™d like to see. Weâ€™re really close, but in order to make the best game possible, the team has decided to take additional time to incorporate more of your feedback. Darkspore will now be available in NA April 26 and across EU/APAC beginning April 28. The beta will not be available this weekend, but weâ€™re excited to announce that weâ€™ll have more betas where youâ€™ll have a chance to experience new game updates. Weâ€™re also planning an open beta for everyone in April, so you can invite any friends to play with you to check out the game and have the opportunity to provide further feedback. Thanks again for your support, and weâ€™ll see you in the game!

The lack of hype surrounding Darkspore leads me to believe they aren't as overly confident about the game as they were with Spore this time around. Maybe they've learnt something, nah its got EA involved, forget I said that :P

I played some of the beta and found it quite interesting really. It's a strange mix of a game. I think I will go for it. April is fine. Too many games are coming out anyway.

I would have preferred a space exploration type of spore game, the spore game itself was rather a letdown.

pre-space stages pretty much gave you different ways of winning, but the moment you get into space stage you are forced to do trading to make any form of money and thats when spore died to me.

Darkspore however it was ok i guess, but it got old very quickly, but atleast this game entices you to play on a higher difficulty, unlike other games that just make it more harder with no return for the effort.
