The world is a straight-up cyberpunk dystopia. Civilization has taken the form of an enormous, socio-economically stratified urban sprawl; the rich and privileged living above the poor and disenfranchised. The zones that the latter occupy are veritable wastelands, completely cut off from civilization and presumably hazardous. Rest assured that Kati and her squad will make some sojourns into them.

So while the game sounds like it lends itself to exploration of the world, these elements actually take second-seat to the turn-based combat. Not to say that you won't be able to ramble about -- unless you're in a battle, you can move around through the environments in real-time -- but compared to actually battling, exploration is understated. It's been made clear that the game's focus is on presenting strategically rich urban skirmishes, and judging by the build I've been playing, it doesn't hit too far from this mark. Think Jagged Alliance meets Fallout, but skewed sharply in the former's direction. Anyway, yes, there will be action points, and it's through these that you and your squad members' actions will be regulated. Moving, shooting, hurling grenades, commandeering a vehicle -- all of these actions will consume points, of which each of your squad members will have a limited number. Hence, the strategy.
