Commandos Creator Leaves Pyro Studios - briefly

BluesNews, Gonzo Suarez, creator and director of the titles launched
to date by the Spanish developer Pyro Studios and published by Eidos, among
which are 'Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines' (1998), 'Commandos: Beyond the Call of
Duty' (1999), and 'Commandos 2: Men of Courage' (2001 PC; 2002 PlayStation 2 and
Xbox), has left Pyro Studios with his Lead Developer, Jon Beltran de Heredia,
and the core of his team, up to a total of eleven people, to start a new
development company, Arvirago Entertainment. The move has taken place after the
release of Commandos 2 for PlayStation 2 and Xbox. These two versions have been
released in September 2002 and are performing well, with over 500,000 copies
sold during the first week. Currently they are working in a new project,
codenamed 'The Lord of The Creatures'. |
