Codemasters let us know that Colin McRae Rally 04 is almost upon us with the release date set for early 2004 for both PS2 and Xbox. The physics and handling have been enhanced from Colin McRae Rally 3 to give you that better ride over multiple terrain types, of which there are 34 to rally on. The game has a number of variable pre programmed control set ups for the controllers including steering wheel support. For the statisticians out there, we have tables and times for each championship and rally giving you that something to aim for.There are ghost cars in multiplayer so you can see how your mates are doing in comparison to you. This is also available in single player to give you that edge over those pesky AI characters. They also claims that most of the things that were asked for on the forums from last year have been included where possible into the game. This should bring you the most authentic Rally game ever and give you all what you want in a game. And here is some info about the PC version: "At present we haven't announced officially whether there will be a PC version of the game. As soon as we do get news though regarding any of our games, then we will announce it here, on the forums and anywhere else I can think of."

Update: I forgot to mention that for those who live in UK, Colin McRae Rally 04 for PS2 and Xbox will be available on Friday, September 19 (L39.99).

I think that CMR 3 was i crappy game for the PC, and if they make a port of PS2 for CMR 4 its gonna suck to :( CMR 2 ruled!
