Games Review (Spanish gaming website) has posted up a new interview with GSC GameWorld's Anton Bolshakov as he talks about their upcoming 1st-person shooter Codename: Outbreak. Here is a snip:
GR: What does Codename: Outbreak have to offer over and above existing military-based FPS's?
CO: We can see many FPS's marketed nowadays. Still, we believe Codename: Outbreak possesses a number of features making it stand out from the existing titles. First of all, it's the uique atmosphere of the game. Play it for half an hour to realize the 'spirit of the game', constituted of the gameplay, game surroundings, enemy and team mate AI. Outbreak players will be able to change stuffy dungeon corridors for vast open areas, this bringing in drastic difference of the gaming process. Before you can reach an enemy objective, you will have to go through the barricade of patrols, machinery, aliens and infected hostile personnel. Enemies are generally by far more numerous than your squad, that's why it's barely possible to be constantly successful with rush-and-destroy tactics. And, probably, the most important characteristic of Outbreak is that everyone can find here something he is seeking for. If you are fond of shooters, this is just the game to your liking. If you are a Thief partisan and like sneaking up to enemies and "knocking them off", I guess, Outbreak will not disappoint you.
