An immediate thought that comes to mind was whether the team would be able to use the extra time to implement new content - perhaps items from a 'wish list'? Taylor quickly disabused me of that notion. "We're not looking to add in new features, we just want to completely polish our current list." Tolkien's world is enormous; much larger than the region covered in The Lord of the Rings. That zone only represents 25% of the world available to the developers of Middle-Earth Online. As a result, Turbine is only developing the extreme northwest quadrant, an area known as Eriador. Eriador contains some of Tolkien's most famous locations including The Shire, Bree, Moria, Rivendell, Angmar and areas to the west such as Tower Hill and Ered Luin. According to Taylor, the extra time will give the developers the space needed to make sure these regions are fully stocked with quests, items, monsters and content.
