   Castlevania: Circle of the Moon is a side-scrolling platform/action-adventure title, just like the Castlevania titles released on the 16-bit Super NES many years ago. The main character, Simon, appears rail thin on-screen, as do many zombies that lie in wait for him throughout levels. A somewhat healthy choice of weapons is available eventually, including various whips and knives. The color scheme is altogether very dark, which makes things difficult to see in anything but direct light. Having said that, however, Konami does utilize detailed backgrounds throughout, adding atmosphere and a lush feeling to the dungeon scenery. [more] |
