Like the original game, United Offensive will have three separate campaigns and at E3 last week we got some hands-on time with portions of two of them. The Russian mission surrounds the Battle of Kursk and the demo showed that Gray Matter is keeping the fast pace that was established by Infinty Ward in the original. As a Soviet soldier, you start by being transported to the front line via truck convoy but that is stopped when your truck is bombed. The battle then head to the ground and the trenches as you avoid being fired upon by the Nazis as well while enemy planes make strafing runs. Gray Matter has put in new particle effects that makes explosions and other visual aspects of the game better and, yes, Gray Matter stuck in a flamethower as a new weapon (flamethrowers were part of Wolfenstein and, working under the Xatrix name, Kingpin).
