Gamecloud - What new multiplayer options will be included in the sequel? Randy Pitchford - Multiplayer is huge because there's an entirely new game (it's like a whole new campaign game) that is called "Skirmish" that is all about combat missions instead of the historical narrative. The skirmish missions are really fun because they're a collection of unique combat challenges that you can play cooperatively. The cooperative game is supported via LAN or the internet on all platforms including consoles (where you can also play the skirmish missions cooperatively with a split screen setup). Besides the new skirmish mode, the squad based multiplayer game is back with tons of improvements. The guys up at Demiurge have actually been dedicated to the multiplayer game full-time to make it more accessible and more fun. And, of course, there's a collection of new multiplayer missions - as many as were offered in the first game. The best part is that Ubisoft supported our decision to also include not just the new missions, but all of the original multiplayer missions. So, if you liked the multiplayer missions of Road to Hill 30, you won't have to swap discs to play any of them - you can play them all with Earned in Blood AND you get all of the new improvements to the multiplayer system. If Earned in Blood is your first Brothers in Arms game, you can get caught up with the entire set of Brothers in Arms multiplayer missions in one product. It's a really cool thing to do for gamers and I'm really glad we were able to do it.
