GGMania got a chance to talk with Sven Schmidt, the publisher's producer on Breed, the upcoming space combat-first person shooter from Brat Designs and CDV. We also have 6 new screenshots from the game. Breed is slated for release in September 2003..read interview [CDV]

umm, yeah...cough... played the demo, looked ok, the combat is a little too much like Delta Force. Great outdoors terrain, bland game, overall, 7.5/10 stars. say, hx, don't you need a game rewiever ? i can trash even the best games ! :)

Yeah right, the demo is worth 1/10 if that. It has a massive number of problems. How can anyone stand the 'view bobbing' effect? More like Unreal 2 than Halo. Very poor.

hmm, the demo runs great, i was amazed at how well it performs, considering the massive environement. I have a 9700. i havent encountered ANY bugs....

Everybody keeps forgetting the fact that demo's are VERY unstable...are full off bugs...and the demo doesnt have any vehicles that you can drive/fly (which sucks) so dont really expect much of the sp demo...but i recommend you try the mp demo thats being released in 2 weeks....that will have alot more options, all the vehicles...and far less bugs...also a cool new water shader :)

Demo's are unstable? Well that depends on what developer made the demo. Most of the time from my experience the demo has be stable. I would not agree that most demo's are "VERY unstable" thats completely stupid thing to say. What do you mean by "VERY unstable"? to me that means the demo will crash a lot while you play it and they are HUGE AMOUNTS of bugs. Like 100+ known bugs. "VERY unstable" to me means like pre-alpha. Its not a "fact" that demo's are "VERY unstable" in my opinion your full of crap.

Halo(PC) it is not. Stalker it is not. Far Cry it is not. Doom 3 it is not. A demo that doesn't introduce enough new elements to an already flooded genre(with very high expectations I might add)it most certainly is. Granted it may be add a little something to multiplayer but not enough overall.

why does the comments box keep removing the first character i type in the "Your Email" field and post the remaining text as my name. and then post the full text i typed in the email field in the email portion? I think the program for processing the comments windows is fucked up. example i will type "THE NAME" in the "Your name" box below and then type "SUPER EMAIL" in the "Your Email" box. Then you see what i mean look at the boxes. and its not just me look at the comments posted above.

I liked the demo, mainly because I'm a junkie for AI-rich futuristic squad control games. (Have been since the Looking Glass classic, Terra Nova Strikeforce.) The gameplay wasn't spectacular, but it was interesting enough to get my attention. The real problem was how unoptimized the engine seemed to be. The visual effects aren't anything to write home about so there's little excuse for this coding.

Wow, alot of you comment writers are not very smart (or dont back your comments) :) For starters, the SP demo is only Beta, which means they released it so the public can report bugs and get a general impression from the public of what needs to be improved. Secondly, There is a TANK in the SP beta Demo which can be driven. Also, With the use of some srcipts found on the offical forums you will be able to drive/fly any of the vechules. Thirdly, the game can run on low end specs with high quality graphics. Fourthly, If your interested in a clan for this game, check out www.warriornation.us I rate the game 8/10

someone who makes sense, finally. i asked my mate about this game cause he wants it badly for some reason too and he knew it was beta testing aswell. people should think before they write.

They definately need to sort the head bopping problem out - made me feel sick trying to play the demo. Plus the voices they`ve used are terrible.

You guys keep banging on the "bugs in the game". The demo is a BETA - says so on the startup screen. Of course it's going to have bugs. Revel in the potential of what's there. Especially what the demo level could mean for multiplay. It could be like a cross between UT2003 & BF1942 with HUGE landscapes. Has great potential.

when i play a demo i expect it to work. Demo is suppose to give me an accurate indication of what the game is like. IF the demo is full of bugs why the fuck would i even consider trying the full version?
