As you might also already have read in the transcript from the developer chat; we will be releasing a patch on 6th October. If all goes well. This patch will fix some issues but more importantly allow those who really, really, really, really don't want to play the tutorial, to skip it. I have to warn everyone though; I sincerely would not recommend skipping the tutorial the first time you play Black&White 2; as you will miss out on some very cool stuff and there is a lot of new mechanics and interactions to learn. This patch is not critical either but we feel it will improve the strategy aspect of the game. Currently this patch should be ready on Thursday (6th October 2005) and if possible, we'll release it earlier.

If you prefer the old control system, where the right mouse button was to interact and the left mouse button to move around, then you might also want to change around the action and move button in the options menu.

Which actually brings me to the next topic of discussion; the release date! We were led to believe that there would be a worldwide simultaneous release for Black&White 2 on the 7th October 2005. Logistically this was not possible , so we’re looking at the following release dates; 7th October for the USA, the UK and Ireland. The rest of Europe will get the game on 14th October. It goes without saying that we’re really upset about this and that we wanted and hoped for a WW release, so that everyone would be able to play this game at the same date. Sadly enough the odds were against us and you; the gamers. Curse our publisher for that one!
