BioShock Infinite's 15-minute E3 demo - preview/review

BioShock Infinite might have made an appearance at E3 this year but most barely got to see any of it, which is why GTTV teamed up with Irrational Games to bring these 15 minutes of madness from the sky-high city of Columbia to the masses. BioShock Infinite has not been given a release date but is expected for 2012 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

The graphics look terrible, very aged - again the consoles....
But this game is about gameplay and story, so i hope it wont disappoint there!

Problem is Koogle the WORLD plays it on console, not on PC. Boo hoo mommey I can't play with these controls. Fuck could you whine anymore? If I am gonna blow 60 bucks on this, based on the deadness that was Bioshock 2, my money is better spent overall on console. Console might be shit to you but on my 52" screen and digital 7.1 surround I can handle playing it with a gamepad.

Tom I can handle playing an fps game with a console controller aswel, I just wouldn't want to, controllers are good for other games and sitting on a couch.

Using an analog stick to control a 3d first person view is spasticated handicap to have to use when a mouse (+kb) gives you so much more control with speed and accuracy ... a bit like going to play ice hockey only a deluded console gamer would feel very happy wearing rollerblades instead of wanting Ice skates for the better playing experience.

So I don't want to watch someone else do it for presentation of an fps game that's coming on the PC, its like they can barely use the controller to look around there surrounding environment, even to see where they are being shot at from lol

I think it looks good and I like the gaming elements, but yeah, seeing it played on the console looks kind of annoying. You can really "see" the controller being used... ie, panning to the left at a steady pace, pushing analog stick.... release stick, stops for a fraction of a second, then pushing up on analog stick, panning up at a very steady "sweeping" pace... etc.

Just not used to watching an FPS played with those sort of "robotic" movements, it all looks very artificial. When there is a big explosion and the screen pans across in that direction at the same steady robot pace instead of instantly the way it would with a mouse twitch it's just painful to watch.

But on PC this should be an interesting game to play anyway and I don't really care about the console vs PC wars... still looking forward to it.

It's about value for the money. There is no value on PC. You finish single player, you shelf the game. If I want to enjoy MP, I ain't gonna do that on PC with a handful of servers. I already found that out for DNF.
