Some of the other maps in The Road to Rome do try to create a slightly different gameplay feel in the way they are designed. For instance, the Operation Baytown map uses landing boats in the map's river to give the army controlling them some added strategic choices. The Battle for Salerno map is essentially a "king of the hill" map where the central control point (on top of a hill, natch) cannot be used as a spawn point for the army that controls it. The Santa Croce map has the two armies start out quite close to each other at the beginning of the game (they are separated by water).
