HomeLAN - Battlecruiser Generations was originally supposed to be an expansion pack to Battlecruiser Millennium. Why did you decide to switch and make it a full scale product?

Derek Smart - As I mentioned above, too many things got cut from the original BCM design and once I decided to make even more extensive changes to the then named XP1 add-on, it got too big, too involved and too expensive to be an add-on. Plus, it would have taken much longer to develop than a typical add-on. Evidence the fact that it went into development shortly after BCM shipped in November 2001 and its not being released until sometime in Q3 2003 and you'll get the idea.
