HomeLAN - What will the single player campaigns and missions be like? Brian Wood - One component of the single-player game, is to play through many of the major historical battles of WWII like Battle of the Bulge and the battle at Monte Cassino. Again, as mentioned before, the goals of these missions are quite expansive where your ultimate goal is very strategic. We have also have included an alternate history campaign which should appeal to a lot of WWII enthusiasts. The entire campaign is a fictional history of WWII. We have missions that focus on the "what if" aspects of war, such as, if the Germans had successfully defeated the British at El Alamein, or if they had attempted to invade Great Britain and successfully captured London. On top of that, we have mode that is much more dynamic. In this mode, you play as one of the five nations in a "global campaign," much like the original board game. At this higher level, you move units across a world map that can determine the entire course of war. Battles in this mode can be quickly resolved with the click of a button or you can launch into randomly generated RTS map on which you play out an entire battle against the AI opponent. Your available units are determined by the type of armies you had on the world map when you entered the battle. So, if you invade Berlin with just an infantry division, you'll have just infantry available for deployment against a fully capable German army including the fearsome King Tiger tanks and German Luftwaffe.
