I know it's sad for you readers, but for me, unfortunately, it's a necessity nowadays. I mean, I must rest, my dear readers. Just like last year, I'm taking my 12 days off with my family. Unfortunately I'm getting pretty old and the days of being able to work 5 or more years without a vacation are gone :D Plus I want to enjoy my little girls (9.5, 13.5 years old) until they are grown up too. So I hope it will all work here and Marek will definitely see to it that the server is running (thanks Marek!). If you are older, you know what I'm talking about, it's really scary when kids grow up in front of your eyes. It's a brutal reflection of how quickly time passes. And time is uncompromising. Unfortunately .Brutally! There's no mercy.And this year has been really really crazy, first we had COVID, then the totally pointless war, and now the upcoming US election, i.e. a total power struggle. And then there's AI!!!

And speaking of AI, I can't help but write something. I do of course use AI for some activities quite a bit - for me it's definitely not AI yet, but it's such a handy assistant that gets a lot of boring work done in a few seconds it definitely is. That is, if one learns how to write prompts. Of course, one has to remember that just as AI can be a good helper, it can also be a good pest, in the hands of those with nefarious minds, and I have a feeling that the criminal sector of the internet will be the first to learn to use AI perfectly, so that they can rob, even better, already quite desperate users (I'm talking about ordinary people who don't know much about computers). We're just about to see a pretty big change, I'm already a bit scared of AI integration into Windows etc. Not that it is necessarily a bad thing, but it seems to me that it will not contribute to the development of the intelligence of the population. Also, have you noticed how most people are very very very lazy to think? I wonder what the world will look like in another 20-30 years? Can anyone imagine this, if so please write me what you think about all this so I can read some nice comments :-) I would also welcome your experience with AI, how and what you use it for.

Anyway, Christmas is a week away, so I wish everyone who is celebrating a Merry Christmas, lots of presents and time with family. Well, then it'll be a new year, but I'll be back by then! Yes, you read that right, I will be back on the morning of 29 December, so of course there will be a site update that day. I'm looking forward to it in advance, I'm going to miss Gameguru! I’ve just had my 60th last Sunday. Got my seniors bus pass as well and just built my new rig!! I’m feeling damn happy and chilled. Can’t believe I’ve been here 20 years! Time most certainly does fly and you have a teenage daughter as well. Yep, your an old fart :wink:

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year. Totally agree on kids standpoint.. time flies by and you need to make sure to use it wisely. We work hard every day and get lousy vacation so we can keep making the rich richer. Cheers

@Home server... Mehhhhhh... I built a real mini-pc and it is way better than this... I don't need a nas built in.. I already got a PC-NAS on the network that works fabulous and my mini pc has a AMD real cpu with 16GB ram.... I can play real games on it.. As for media streaming, eh... why not just right click and cast?? Who even needs a media server anymore? Currently I host 2 servers on this mini-pc while it does other tasks for whatever. The only real problem is I chose Windows for the OS and that is going to be nuked soon in favour of Mint OS...I got tired of mini-pc's with shit processors or limited ram, I built a real one for under $600 and I'm not stuck playing shitty old console games anymore.
