ArcaniA - Gothic 4 can be purchased from Steam. The European edition has been released a week earlier to the American edition which is now expected on October 19. In related news, JoWooD announced in the World of Gothic forum that there's a hot fix available through the auto-updater. It only a performance update. Bugs will be fixed in another patch in a week or two.

The first review of the game can be found on PC.IGN (7.5/10).

Technically awesome game, truly worthy to be run on a PC. Clear picture, nice textures, decent geometry, draw distance up to where the eye can see. Just plain awesome.

It is a bit dumbed down though compared to the previous Gothic game, but also has less, if any, bugs. Still absolutely decent and fulfilling gameplay with interesting story line. The quests seem simple enough and quite typical, but I don't give a damn. If I wanted philosophy, I'd read a book.

I am Steaming this at the end of the month, no matter what.
