Funcom today sent out a press release revealing details for Shadowlands, the upcoming expansion pack for their MMORPG, Anarchy Online. Shadowlands provides the traditional elements of an expansion pack such as new playfields, weapons, monsters and items, but with many exciting twists and turns. It's an ancient realm rediscovered, with different rules and technology, and landscapes of both intense beauty and immense horror.
Shadowlands introduces an impressive range of features:
  • Several new and diverse playfields
  • New monsters
  • Two new professions
  • The floating city of Jobe
  • New weapons, armour, items and quests
  • New special attacks and combat upgrades
  • New max level for players
  • Enhanced graphics ... much more to be revealed

    Looks very promising, AO was released in an array of bugs / server outages / and bad design, but since release, Funcom have worked endlessly and brought this MMORPG up to and even above the standards set by Everquest / AC etc, great game which has great things coming for it!
