AMD Radeon Software Crimson 17.6.1 - tech
(hx) 03:50 AM EDT - Jun,10 2017 - Post a comment
AMD has released a new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the AMD Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.6.1 driver improves Crossfire performance by up to 30% performance improvement when using 8xMSAA (measured on Radeon RX 580 8GB) in DiRT 4 and overall performance by up to 4% in PREY. Moreover, this driver fixes the Virtual Super Resolution issues that were reported on some Radeon RX 400 and Radeon RX 500 series graphics products, HDR issues on some displays for QHD or higher resolutions, and some flickering issues on some Radeon RX 500 series products when using HDMI with QHD high refresh rate displays. Furthermore, this driver addresses some FPS drops or stutter issues in PREY that were caused by fast mouse movement in multi-GPU systems, as well as some stutter or hitching issues in Mass Effect: Andromeda in multi-GPU systems.
