Yesterday, Alone in the Dark: Illumination went up for pre-order on Steam. Today, Atari is finally showing video of the game. The game features four-player cooperative action, in which light plays a vital role in surviving the enemy onslaught. You and your team will progress through a multi-stage encounter with a final fight against an elder god. And, because you can't really kill a god, you'll need to trap it or escape. The title plays out in third person, with a tight camera similar to recent Resident Evil titles and The Evil Within. Another significant difference from Left 4 Dead is that the four classes (hunter, witch, priest, and engineer) all have their own abilities and weapons and are connected to characters from the original Alone in the Dark titles.
