SG: Many concerns have been voiced regarding the various features added to AvP2's multiplayer – mainly that the species are becoming more and more unbalanced the addition of the Queen class, the Exosuit, and the expansion pack's Predator self-destruct. What is your view on this? Do you think these concerns are valid? PP: Yes, I do think these are valid concerns. As I just said we really do read what is being said about our games and want to do everything to please as many people as we can. That's not always easy. Many of the fans want conflicting things but I digress. Many people were asking why the Predator never had his self-destruct weapon when it was obviously featured in the movies. We have finally incorporated this into the expansion pack in a way that makes it fun without being cheap. What we did was make it so the Predator can't self-destruct until he has less than 20% health remaining. Our tests showed that this seemed to be the right balance of letting the Predator have the fun of taking out opponents in a big way while still giving the other people in the game a chance to take him out before he blows. With 20% health it only takes a shot or swipe to make the Predator toast and thus cancel the imminent explosion. Beyond this we have added the aforementioned weapons and character class restrictions menu in Primal Hunt to help with balancing.
Primal Carnage - teamplay action shooter by Lukewarm Media. The game has a certain Crichton-esque quality, as it is "set on an abandoned military controlled island where an experiment gone awry unleashing colossal dinosaurs out of control." The twist here is that the dinosaurs are playable as well as the "team of tough mercenaries" that are hunting them down, with the mercenaries using first-person control, while the dinosaurs are controlled from a third-person perspective (1675 hits)
