Tolstiy: So, a shareware game is a kind of try-before-you-buy software - you can play a bit, but must pay for the rest (DOOM was distributed this way, as far as I remember).
Alexander Lyskovsky: Right, that was true for DOOM and Duke Nukem, but those were 'real' demos, which contained only one episode and the person who registered the game received the full package.
