During the PC Game Show at E3 2017 in Los Angeles, Microsoft Game Studios announced Age of Empires: Definitive Edition. The game will be released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Age of Empires franchise, and will come later this year for Windows 10. A beta will also be available soon, and signups are open at the official website. It’s a remaster of the original, massively popular RTS game, and it promises 4K visuals, fully redesigned sprites, a re-orchestrated soundtracks, gameplay updates and more. It even includes the Rise of Rome expansion for good measure.
